The Java Ring Download Center is now online at:
http://www.ibutton.com/jiblet/index.html
From this site, you can perform the functions of the apduSender
though a browser applet. You can also load a set of JiBlets that
have been written for the buttons and exercise their functions
through host applets.
Some setup is required to run this applet. You must have the
Java Plug-In installed (the new 1.1.1 version includes JAR caching,
though it works fine with the 1.1 version). There is also an
additional setup step that installs software necessary for
communication with your serial and parallel ports, and files necessary
for the browser applet. For Windows, there is a self-executing
file. For Solaris, there is a tar.gz file with a script enclosed
to copy the necessary files.
This site has not been made publicly available yet, as we would
like interested groups to use the site and make any suggestions
that might make the site more usable or enjoyable. If you
experience any problems or have any thoughts about the Java Ring
Download Center, please let us know--there is an email link on the
page. Also, if you are interested in adding your JiBlet and
associated host applet to the Download Center, please email us.
Note: You do NOT need to have any JiBKit installed to run this.
However, if you do have a JiBKit installed that is not version 091,
you may need to alter your classpath to run this demo, as the plug-in
sometimes searches your classpath. Also, make sure the Plug-In is
using the default JRE. If you have not changed this option, there
should be no problem.
Please make sure to read the entire page!
